For years, Deborah had tried to figure it out herself — researching, self-diagnosing, changing things on her own — with minimal to no results. Bloating and digestive trouble, brain fog, poor sleep, and low energy had worn her down. More than anything, she wanted someone who would actually listen, and not make her feel like she was exaggerating.
I ran a GI-MAP, and it finally put concrete reasons behind years of symptoms: active gut inflammation, a strong gluten reactivity, an over-activated gut immune response, a bacterial overgrowth, and low digestive-enzyme output (pancreatic elastase). We addressed them in the proper order, to give her body the best chance to heal.
We went in order. Because her pancreatic elastase came back low — a sign she wasn't breaking food down well — we started by supporting her digestion with enzymes, then worked on calming the inflammation. From there I treated the gut infections the testing found, including a pathogenic E. coli. Once her gut was in much better shape and her symptoms were genuinely resolving, we turned to rebuilding what years of poor digestion had depleted — low antioxidants, glutathione, and B vitamins — and supported her methylation, since her testing also pointed to toxin exposure.
The change showed up in the numbers and in her day-to-day life. On the MSQ — a validated medical symptom questionnaire that scores total symptom burden — her score fell from 96 to 8, a 92% drop:
"After years of trying to self-diagnose with minimal results, I was so grateful to find Gina. She listened, and she heard me — she didn't make me feel like I was exaggerating. She knew exactly what testing needed to be done and how to address it in the right order, and took the time to explain how everything worked. It is not an exaggeration to say working with Gina turned my life around."
